I don’t watch Peruvian films often because Peruvian cinema is rarely there. This is one of the few Peruvian films I’ve seen, so it’s very good.
Throughout, the cinematography is very good, along with the production design, setting, and presentation
Filmmaker Klaudia Reynicke definitely makes a personal and interesting observation of the family dynamic between father and daughter, and the dynamic is well executed with good performances, strong direction, and very good dialogue moments. The narrative is simple and although it is predictable and a bit choppy, the emotional core, direction and good acting help keep the story interesting.
Overall, it is a good warm and sweet film
Including an interesting insight into the political turmoil in Peru and the dynamic relationships between father and children.
