The difference here is geography

This is formula TV, but by a writer who will be remembered in a few decades as Norman Learre is now.
Inappropriateness with the mother-daughter-father-family dynamic?
This is another niche Western show, and its brilliant marketing is matched by great performances from top-notch actors. Accuracy issues with the oil industry? Apparently. Yes.
Larter is top-notch and looks phenomenal
Does that mean none of it works the same in real life? No matter, it’s a dynamic production and fun to watch. Thornton is destined for the role, although I read that she was only written for him at the beginning. Lots of interesting stuff, except for the one oddity that Demi Moore is in all 10 episodes.
If not, I’ll be curious to see what the deal is
I’ve seen all 5 that have aired so far, and unless it’s just me, I only remember seeing and hearing him once in his pool, for a brief moment. Hamm’s character isn’t seen as much either, but he’s played well and captures his character, but Moore hasn’t had a chance to add anything yet. Maybe that’s how it’s written and he’ll play a role in later episodes.
